What will you need to make this amazing Salsa?
Here is a detailed list of ingredients that you will need to prepare this delicious Salsa. Each ingredient has a different flavor profile to offer and together they combine to create a fiery and tangy symphony. Let’s take a closer look at those ingredients:
● Tomatillos: Tomatillos form the base for our delicious salsa recipe. These small fruits add a tangy flavor to the recipe.
● Jalapeños or Serranos: These peppers add a spicy kick and heat to the salsa while balancing the tanginess from the tomatillos
● Garlic: adds a subtle earthiness to the dish, holds inflammatory properties, and is rich in essential oils.
● Dried Chiles de Abrol: if you like your salsa to be more spicy, you can definitely opt for this ingredient. Only a small amount of Chiles de abrol can add to the spiciness level of the salsa, so make sure to use it as per your spice tolerance.
● Onions: Offers a crunch to the recipe while enhancing its flavors and textures.
● Cilantro: It’s the freshness that makes a salsa better than the other, and this freshness of salsa is derived majorly from fresh cilantro. This is why loads of fresh cilantro are added to almost all salsa recipes.

● Bouillon: If you wish to enhance the depth of this salsa and enhance its nutritive profile, then you can surely try adding your favorite bouillon to it.
Toast your vegetables
● Begin by preheating your air fryer to 375°F (190°C), if you don’t have a microwave then an oven set to broiling would work well.
● Remove the husks from the tomatillos and wash them well with water, to get rid of the sticky residue. Once washed, pat these dry.
● Place the tomatillos, jalapeños, garlic, and serranos, in the air fryer basket. Make sure to leave some space between them.
● Air fry for about 10 minutes. Make sure to keep checking, as you want to achieve a beautiful char and not burn them
● After 10 minutes, check for doneness the tomatillos should have softened by now and are a little blistered. This is your sign to remove them all from the air fryer basket
● Once these are done, add the dried chiles to the air fryer and air fry them for 10-20 seconds. These only require a little time to get burnt and achieve a nice char.
2. Blending the Ingredients
● Throw the toasted vegetables into a blender and pulse blend for a couple of minutes. For a chunkier salsa, blending on pulse 1-2 times would be enough, if you wish to achieve a smoother salsa, blend for a longer time.
3. Seasoning hour!
● Once the mixture has achieved your preferred consistency, pour it into a mixing bowl.
● If you wish to add any bouillon, this is the right stage to do so. You can choose from a plethora of bouillons like chicken, and vegetables as per your choice.
